RYAN SHECKLER - MTV's Life of Ryan

Thank you to all my fans for all your emails regarding my recent work. One of the biggest joys of being a photographer is receiving emails complementing my work and saying that my images inspires them. I apologize for not being able to reply to each and everyone as I've been on the road to San Diego quite a bit. With the recent fires going on, this makes it even more difficult getting around.

I've got a huge treat for you all today. I was filmed for an episode of Life of Ryan on MTV with Ryan Sheckler. (Check his website). I guess I've gotten used to all the publicity and cameras around me and I'm now able to focus solely on my images and can block all the other commotion out. But I have to admit that this was pretty awesome. There were approximately 5 cameras filming at all times. And the MTV crew themselves were pretty cool. I'm not sure which episode this will be in, but it's safe to say that it's in Season 2. If anyone sees the episode, drop me an email. Give me heads up. Let me know.

Ryan was fun to hang out with. He had a lot of energy for the shoot and his little brother Kane had even more. Kane was riding around my photoshoot, doing kickflips after kickflips on his razor on speedbumps and on curbs. All in all, the shoot was awesome. I couldn't possibly have asked for more.

HARLEY DAVIDSON + COMPLEX MAGAZINE

Hung out with my friends Alexis, Brittany, Kelli and Nicole at Boulevard 3 on Sunset Blvd yesterday. It turned out to be a typical Hollywood celebrity studded event. The venue was packed! The club was pretty cool though. Be warned, these girls are Trouble!!! But we had alot of fun! We got to chill with some of the coolest people in Hollywood. Here's evidence of our debauchery.

SHAUN WHITE | San Diego, California

I'll admit that I've been a long time Shaun White fan, so when I got the call to shoot him, I knew this was going to be totally cool. Nicknamed the "Flying Tomato" for his red hair, Shaun White absolutely kills it on the skateboard and the snowboard. He has won every medal possible at the Winter X-Games and recently won a Gold Medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Shaun works closely with skateboarding legend, Tony Hawk and skates daily at Tony Hawk's skatepark. Shaun won the Gold Medal at the 2007 Summer X-Games. All this and he's only 21!!

Totally cool American Express and Hewlett Packard Commercials.

Check out Shaun White skate.

RAP HISTORY MONTH - RUN DMC!!! | SOLE COLLECTOR MAGAZINE

Run-D.M.C. (or Booya) was a major pioneering hip hop group during the 1980s, founded by Joseph "Rev Run" Simmons, Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels, and the late Jason "Jam-Master Jay" Mizell.

More RUN-DMC info (Wikipedia). This shoot was for Sole Collector Magazine.

They were legendary in the history of rap music and the pioneers of rap-rock. I remember I was 16 when I first heard Run DMC's collaboration with one of my favorite bands, Aerosmith. The track was aptly titled "Walk this Way" (Click to watch the Video)
They were the forefathers of the Linkin Park's of today.

Having the honor of shooting such Rap Royalty was awesome. For this occasion, video's from the photoshoot are made public. Check it out.

SHAUN PHILLIPS, San Diego Chargers

Shot Shaun Phillips of the San Diego Chargers. It turned out to be a totally cool day. Channel 4 San Diego was doing a segment on Shaun and wanted to film the entire photoshoot. That was kinda cool. There were news cameras and boom mikes all over. It's hard enough keeping my focus on shooting without having to worry about tripping over cables. Surprisingly, I made it out in one piece. But honestly, it was't that bad. This is the 3rd time I've been filmed, so I'm kinda getting used to it. Everyone at the shoot was pretty cool, so all in all, the only downside of my day was sitting in traffic for 3 hours to San Diego. Life ain't bad at all.

URB Magazine | Delicious Vinyl

My victims of the day were Rick and Mike Ross, maestro headhonchos of Delicious Vinyl. A Los Angeles based record label. Delicious Vinyl have distribution deals with PolyGram, Warner Music Group, EMP and Universal Music Group. They have a bevy of artists like the celebrated Acid Jazz Band, The Brand New Heavies, Tone Loc, Young MC, Masta Ace and the Pharcyde. The guys were totally cool.

Check out the shoot!
